'''Tanks''' provide storage for gases, such as [[oxygen]] and [[Metreon Gas|metreon]], and fluids such as [[water]] and [[fuel]]. They can provide a stable supply of resources for equipment (e.g., fuel for reactors). [[Crew member]]s will refill tanks from [[container]]s using set up [[Loader]]s when necessary.

The crew can repair damaged tanks. When a tank is destroyed, all contents are lost and irrecoverable.

== Sizes ==
Tanks are available in different sizes. All tanks hold 1,500 units per square, one size is not a more efficient container than the others.

Since a container only holds 1,000 units, it is more space efficient to load containers into a tank rather than carry more than four containers.

==Transfer Rate==
A tank delivers as many units per second as demanded. It also takes as many units per second as provided. Currently there are no known limits. Contrast this with loaders which max out at 20 units per second.
