Pipes carry fluid or gas resources from one part of a ship to another and are vital for connecting various systems.
Pipe contents come either from an equipment's output, or a loader (which is really just a specific case of equipment output).
Initially, pipes are dark gray, indicating the contents are undefined. Once pipes are connected to a specific input/output type, they take on the color of the fluid/gas they will be transporting.
When pipes cross over each other, the player can choose whether they connect. Left-clicking on a pipe crossing will toggle between the two pipes connecting (represented by a square where they meet), or crossing over without connection. It is recommended that crossing pipes be established while the game is paused, so that unintentional connections can be corrected before the pipe type is forced to change.
History[edit | edit source]
