Players can own more than one ship, either by purchasing additional ships at a shipyard, or by receiving them during contracts.

Owned ships display with green text in the top-right ship list. Players can select between their ships by clicking the ship name in the top-right ship list.

FTL Jumps[edit | edit source]

  • In the Survival and Free Roam game modes the fleet will always be in the same star system and jump together.
  • In the Boldy Go game mode the fleet can split up, the player may have ships in multiple systems at the same time. When jumping, the player chooses in the FTL dialog which ships from the current system to include in the jump.

Regardless of game mode, only one of the jumping ships needs to have an FTL Drive, the other jumping ships get a free ride. All jumping ships must align for the jump, and the jump cannot proceed until this occurs.

Managing Cargo, Crew, and Passengers[edit | edit source]

Cargo, crew members, and passengers can be transferred between fleet ships using the Logistics tab.

When purchasing items for a ship, the currently selected ship will receive the items being purchased.

Before accepting delivery or transport contracts, the player should ensure that the currently selected ship is the one that should receive the cargo or passengers. While these can be temporarily transferred to other ships in the fleet, the game will send a shuttle to the original ship to complete delivery.

History[edit | edit source]

  • Update1.rc2: Introduced.
  • Update2.rc1: Mission descriptions now correctly show the ship name they are assigned to.
