Logistic Drones are bought from traders or produced with an Assembly Table. Logistics drones deploy out of Drone Bays, and return back into them when the drone has no further work.
Logistics drones perform the following jobs, all of which can be turned on or off from the Orders menu:
- Fleet Logistics - Deliver items from the ship the drone resides on to another player-owned ship in the same system. The receiving ship must also have a drone bay.
- Repair Hull - Repair any damage to the hull of the ship and any nearby player-owned ships.
- Gather Materials - Gather nearby Ore, Scrap Metal, and Ice.
- Gather Salvage - Gather nearby non-material resources floating in space.
Currently, Logistics Drones have no form of upkeep and a range of roughly 400 m (except for fleet logistics which appears to have unlimited range).
