Pipes carry fluid resources from one part of a ship to another and are vital for connecting the parts of various systems.
Currently, pipes carrying different materials cannot coexist or be in adjacent tiles, as this causes them to connect. This will generally break all but one of the systems attached. A forthcoming update is expected to resolve this.
