Johnny_Struggles and Totengeist have been holding combat competitions for the The Last Starship on the Discord server.

May 2025

The competition takes places within a meteor shower, adding more challenge to protecting and repairing ships. It had an impressive 20 entries.

April 2025

In the first competition to take place in Arena Mode, players are challenged to build all ammunition from Metreon Gas and Metallic Minerals "delivered" at the docking bays.

March 2025

Players are challenged to build a capital ship with small escorts and to produce their own ammo, challenging them to manage resources. The battles take place in a system with several ice comets flying through the center of the combat area. Ties are resolved according to which side won the fastest.

After the finale, the Endurance/Survival competition is introduced. All ships are pitted against each other in an endurance contest to see whose crew lives the longest.

January 2025

AI combat strategies are introduced, giving competitors more control over how their ships handle during combat. Ties are resolved according to which side won the fastest.

December 2024

The first competition featured a single battle between two competitors.
