Ship files for the game are stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Introversion\LastStarship\ships on Windows, ~/Library/Application\ Support/LastStarship/ships on Mac, and ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1857080/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Introversion/LastStarship/ships on Linux (using Proton). They are stored in a plaintext format and end in a .ship extension.
